Course Description

The Level 2 Spectator Safety Online Course is an introductory training program designed to equip learners with the fundamental knowledge required to work safely and effectively in spectator environments such as stadiums, arenas, concerts, and public events. This course is ideal for individuals who are new to stewarding or those looking to build confidence and understanding before entering the workforce.

Delivered entirely online, the course allows learners to study at their own pace through a series of concise, structured lessons supported by interactive knowledge checks. The learning platform is accessible on both desktop and mobile devices, making it convenient for users to complete the training anytime and anywhere.

Course Overview

This course focuses on developing essential theoretical knowledge across key areas of spectator safety and event operations, including:

  • Roles and Responsibilities of Stewards

Certification

Upon successful completion, learners receive an instant digital certificate through the learning platform. This certificate is suitable for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and can be used as evidence for entry-level employment in spectator safety roles. While it is not a regulated NVQ qualification, it forms a valuable theoretical foundation and may be accepted as part of the distance learning component when progressing toward NVQ Level 2 Spectator Safety.

Entry Requirements

Participants must be at least 16 years old and possess a basic level of spoken and written English to understand course materials and complete the assessment.

Progression Opportunities

After completing this online course, learners can advance to the NVQ Level 2 Spectator Safety qualification, which includes practical, on-site assessment and leads to a regulated certification. With further experience, individuals may progress to higher-level qualifications such as Level 3 Supervision or Level 4 Management in spectator safety and event operations. Additional certifications like Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) can further enhance employability, and some roles may require an SIA Door Supervisor licence depending on job responsibilities.
